Another record breaking year for Helsinki Open – 358 wrestlers in total

Sunday was just as  action packed as Saturday at this year’s Helsinki Open. Almost 200 young girls and boys, with an age range from 6 – 14 year olds, provided the audience with some energetic entertainment. Small kids may not be as skillful or mature in their wrestling, but what they lack in skills, they make up in pure emotion, will power and drama.

In total, this year’s event gathered 358 wrestlers, making the anniversary tournament the biggest Helsinki Open ever. Thank you to participants and to that actively made this the main freestyle wrestling event of the year in Finland.

We are already looking forward to making this just as fun for all participants next year!
